Jamie is a nonprofit administrator, leadership and operations consultant, and community advocate. Jamie plays an important role in the development of strategic frameworks and aligns resources to advance organizational mission and vision. Jamie leads internal teams, infrastructure, processes, and human and financial resources. Since 2010, Jamie has worked in a diverse array of leadership and management roles spanning the state’s public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Jamie has placed principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion at the forefront of her work throughout her career, which has been centered in community engagement, board relations, policy creation, and budget and leadership development.
Jamie serves as Vice President of Colorado Black Women for Political Action, Criminal Justice Chair for the Aurora NAACP, and Board Chair Elect for Spark the Change Colorado. Jamie holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Management from Colorado State University. Much of her previous work has focused on restorative justice – both through advocacy and the direct provision of the support tools needed to reduce re-offenses and ensure lasting success for Colorado communities. Jamie is also a Peer Reviewer for the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, where she contributes to the determination of federal grant awards. When she’s not working or volunteering, Jamie enjoys attending concerts, traveling, and gardening.
